There are alternatives to the superficial celebrations - ways to deeply honor life’s transitions, both joyous and difficult. With all those choices, the challenge is deciding which ones are right, then bringing it all together and doing it!
That’s where I come in
I’ve been dreaming up inventive ways to celebrate and honor women’s transitions, big and small, for almost 30 years. It’s my passion, and I love it – both the creativity and the power of it.
And what I love even more is performing rituals with and for other women.
After leading ceremonies and rituals for as long as I have, I’m comfortable with all kinds of group dynamics and providing emotional stability for even the most emotionally fraught transition. I'll be there, in person, walking you and your guests through every step.

The rituals and ceremonies I create as La Padre are largely non-denominational. They borrow from many traditions without adhering to any one in particular. Your ritual will be designed around your belief set and what you’re comfortable with. We can incorporate almost anything from an existing faith or, if you prefer, build an entirely secular ceremony. It really is up to you.

- Honoring milestones provides a meaningful experience not quickly forgotten. It’s years later, and people are still talking about my mom's birthday party, where we each gave her a bulb to plant and a story about how awesome she is. That Spring, when the flowers bloomed, she thought of us.
- With me officiating, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your special time. You can be confident that your guests are in good (experienced) hands. I'll present this material in a way that’s not too “woo-woo,” that meets people where they are, and allows everyone to participate comfortably, regardless of belief set or personality type/temperament.
- Ritual is the gift that gives to others as much as it gives to you. It may be a ceremony in your honor, but others receive the gift of a meaningful interaction. Celebrating milestones with a ceremony provides a time and a place for the people who love you to speak from the heart, and know they will be heard.
