The Practice of Being Human on the Internet

an interview with Lara Eastburn, the Moonshine Marketeer!!
Tell us about your practice.

I distill the ocean of social media into high-octane gulps of fun for small business. So you can be human online. Every day.

I sit at the feet of common sense and apply it with no mercy to the insanely fast-paced world of digital marketing and relationships.

I turn internet marketing into a cocktail party. I turn clients into relationships. And I return frenzied, stressed-out, at-their-wits-end business owners to
themselves.

Bringing relief to smaller business owners who tend to want to tear their hair out when it comes to social media.
Mainly, I dig demystifying how to sell your wonderful stuff by constantly simplifying it.
What’s your favorite part of this practice?

The geeky stuff. The CHALLENGE. I like to think of myself as a translator of digital dogma into social simplicity.

What benefits do you get from engaging in this practice?  How does it make your life better?

I glean a great deal of satisfaction from turning mountains into molehills.  It makes me feel like I have a purpose in the world. Like I am supremely good at something that honestly helps people from all walks of life make a living at what they’re supremely good at.

What would you recommend to someone taking up this practice?  How should they start?

I don’t imagine my advice would differ from that of taking up ANY practice. At first, you’re kind of “okay” at it. But, if consistent, one day you turn around to realize you’ve become ridiculously adept at it. You do it without even trying. It becomes as much a part of you as eating and sleeping and hugging your kids.

What's a favorite quote that you love?

“Come up and see me sometime.”  - Mae West
What have you got going on?

I’m building an approach to social media that is taking me WAY down the rabbit hole of my practice. Where social media is no longer a separate extension of our lives and businesses, but infused in all exchanges - of ideas, of products, of emotions.
