Is it silly to be sad?
Here's the thing - I live a life of meaning, surrounded by symbols. Because of that, nothing is purely what it is. It is always infinitely more.
It is the story of itself.
It is everything that I wanted it to be, a reminder of every failure when I didn't live up to my hopes and a holding place for all the things that went gloriously right.
It is what it has come to mean to me.
And. It is its own thing, worthy of recognition and acknowledgement.
It's important to me to take a few moments to say farewell to my old site - its GORGEOUS banner, the hopes and dreams I had when it went live (before I knew better), the ways in which it has supported me and the fact that it doesn't anymore.
Tomorrow (or the next day) will be a brand new site (this one here!), and I promise you that it is breath-taking. Lara over at Moonshine Marketeer outdid herself on it!
But today is for my old site, to pause and say thank you and farewell. Today is to remember, and then to let it pass.
Yeah, I'm feeling sentimental today.
